Description

Pasta Bolognese is the perfect meat sauce. This thick and hearty sauce does perfect with thicker shaped pasta that the sauce can really stick too. Add some pasta water to a pan before adding sauce and tossing your pasta to perfection. Finish with freshly grated parmesan and cracked black pepper. You can also freeze it to have this pasta meat sauce ready for whenever you are in the mood for it. 

Ingredients
  • 500 grams Lean Ground beef
  • 500 grams Ground Pork
  • 1 Celery Stalk
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 1 Carrot Stick
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 dashes Worcester Sauce
  • Half cups Red Wine
  • 1 can Strained Tomatoes
  • Salt
  • pepper
Instructions
  1. Dice Carrots, Celery, and Onions into similar shapes so that they cook properly.

  2. Add a tablespoon of olive to a pan on medium heat and add your vegetables to the pan and start to sweat them off. Make sure to not brown your vegetables. Just cook them until they are translucent. 

  3. Add pork to the pan and cook until not pink anymore. Make sure to break up the pork into smaller pieces.

  4. Add the beef and repeat the process from above.

  5. Add the tomato paste to the pan and cook it for about 1 minutue before stiring it in with the other ingredients. Will helps develop a richer flavor and adds complexity. 

  6. Add the worchester sauce stir, then add the red wine. Reduce by half.

  7. Once the wine has been reduced, add your strained tomato puree and cover. Cooking on medium heat and stiring every few minutes.
